Quorn Foods are recruiting for a Shift Production Manager to join our Operations team out of our Billingham based plant.
What You'll Be Responsible For
Being responsible for leading a shift team, you'll oversee the operation and maintenance of all Quorn assets across the Billingham site. This role places strong emphasis on excellent team leadership and effective people management to ensure production targets are achieved, ensuring that our product is produced safely, efficiently and in accordance with correct specifications and food quality standards.
Our operational assets across the site cover aspects such as fermentation, harvesting, effluent treatment, site services and utilities, so you will be leading a multi-skilled manufacturing team which ensures excellent mycoprotein paste production.
What Experience You'll Need To Have
- Presentable background in an operational leadership role within the FMCG, manufacturing or chemical industries
- Experience of working within safe systems of work programmes such as permit to work, toxic procedure etc.
- Excellent interpersonal skills to foster effective work relationships within shift teams and collaborate with various stakeholders, including contractors, engineers, and SHE/Quality staff
- Comprehensive knowledge of the principles of continuous process operations and the function of equipment used to control process variables such as temperature, flow and pressure including the use of computer control systems
- In-depth knowledge of all Plant assets that are controlled by the panel, inclusive of ETP/WTP
- Experience in multi-skilled trade activities with strong analytical and numerical skills
- A passion for healthy, sustainable products which are better for our consumers and the planet – you don’t have to be a vegetarian to work for Quorn!
