Due to recent framework wins, we are looking for a Water Network Distribution Modeller to join our busy Infrastructure Team to work on Clean Water Modelling projects across the UK and Ireland.
The successful candidate will be responsible for hydraulic modelling input on our portfolio of water utility projects. You will form part of our strong multi-disciplinary team delivering varied and interesting projects for a variety of public and private clients in the UK and Ireland. The ideal candidate will have experience of similar project work in the UK and/or Ireland water sector and be able to work proactively and collaboratively to solve engineering problems.

Typical projects will likely include network model building and analysis, asset management and planning projects, capital works design support and water resource strategy and analysis projects.
Role Responsibilities
- Provide technical lead on the delivery on outputs of modelling and engineering projects
- Effectively delegate tasks to the team as project workload and deadlines demand
- Undertake a technical mentoring role for more junior members of staff
- Health & Safety Risk Assessments
- Coordinating Field Teams
- Model Build and Calibration
- Optioneering of design solutions
- Feasibility and asset management/planning analysis
- Producing reports and technical documents.
- Progress reporting and client Liaison
- Project management and business development
- Visit sites and liaise locally with clients
Minimum Requirements
- Experience working in hydraulic network modelling
- Understanding of, and experience using, GIS and either Infoworks WS Pro or Synergi
- Experience of technically reviewing projects/models, providing design and optioneering input, and in preparation of proposals.
- Computer software literate including MSWord, MSExcel.
Desirable
- Degree in relevant area (e.g. Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Geography, Environmental Science) or have proven track record/experience of delivering modelling projects
- Experience working with UK water companies
- Ability to design technical specifications and scopes of works for projects.
- Experience at consultant project management/ task leader level with proven track record in the delivery of projects.
- Experience assisting senior management in the preparation of technical and financial proposals.
- Experience liaising with government departments, local authorities, water and utility companies, Environment Agency and other public bodies.
