Expleo are going through a period of growth and are in need of a number of Systems Engineers across all levels for exciting Aerospace,Defence and Marine work out of our Bristol, Derby, Preston and Stevenage sites. These Systems Engineering vacancies present an exciting opportunities for a ambitious individuals to develop and grow their skills and knowledge within a thriving organisation. You will be engaged in a wide variety of Systems Engineering activities covering the entire engineering lifecycle, including; systems definition, input to estimates and bid activities, requirements apportionment, systems architecting, integration, verification & validation, which will involve proactive interaction and communication with other Engineering and non-Engineering functions. Candidates with a good understanding of all aspects of Systems Engineering relating to lifecycle processes and methodologies should apply. Specific experience in precision guidance control systems is particularly sought after for this role.

An average of 3 days on-site is expected for these roles. Due to the Defence nature of our projects you will need to be a UK national and capable of securing Security Clearance.

Responsibilities

As a Systems Engineer, you will play a crucial role in designing, implementing, and maintaining complex systems solutions that meet our clients' needs. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration and deployment of systems, while adhering to industry standards and best practices.

Duties include but not limited to -

  • Systems Engineering
    • Requirements and Use Case analysis
    • Concept assessment and design trade studies
    • System architecture design and functional modelling
    • Performance assessment and systems behavior analysis
    • Verification, Validation and Certification
    • Model based engineering techniques, including MBSE

  • Project and Programmes Experience desirable
    • Defence Sector Highly desirable
    • Marine Sector highly desirable
    • Fleet Operations desirable
    • Modifiations and configuration management
    • Bid Management desirable
Qualifications

  • BEng or equivalent in relevant engineering discipline (Electronic Engineering, Electrical and Electronic, or Communications).

Experience

  • The post holder must be able to demonstrate relevant knowledge and skills required in the technical management of complex design development throughout the design lifecycle
  • Sound understanding of engineering design and safety practice as relevant to discipline, post and project requirements
  • Sound project specification & planning experience
  • Sound understanding of Company and departmental procedures relating to Design, Health & Safety and Quality requirements, and ability to manage projects in accordance with these procedures.
  • Working knowledge of relevant engineering office computer applications
  • Experience of the design support to construction, operation, refit/repair of conventional and nuclear submarines and/or facilities
