Role Profile
We are currently looking for a Senior Scientist with proven expertise in Mass Spectrometry and Protein Characterisation experience to join our R&D team in Cambridge. This role offers an outstanding chance to input into significant scientific advancements, building on high-throughput protein expression systems.

Key Responsibilities
- Execution of scientific activities including elements of laboratory work and scientific planning/review
- Performing a range of analytical experiments using different separation and characterisation methods (IEC, SEC, RP, HIC, HILIC, CE-SDS, LC-MS and LC-MS/MS)
- Experience in developing high-throughput analytical workflows
- Analyzing and interpreting data and presenting back to internal collaborators
- PhD or equivalent experience (desirable) in life sciences, or MSc. Preferred area of study: Biochemistry/ Biology/ Biomanufacturing/ Biotechnology
- Previous practical academic and/or industrial experience in an analytical laboratory, with focus on protein characterisation
- Detailed knowledge and practical expertise in chromatography, electrophoresis and Mass Spectrometry techniques (IEX, SEC, HIC, HILIC, LC-MS and LC-MS/MS) in the field of protein characterization.
- A good general background in established analytical methods in the industry, including the strengths and weaknesses of various approaches
