Salary: Up to £51,000.00 FTE per year (depending on level of experience, training and qualification)

We have an opportunity for a Senior Registered Children's Nurse to join their team of staff in the Paediatric department.

This is a part-time role for 20 hours a week. The role holder will be required to cover a flexible shift pattern.

Duties Of This Role Include

• Deliver safe, evidence-based care to children and young people with a wide range of acute and long-term health needs.
• Carry out comprehensive assessments, implement care plans, and evaluate outcomes in collaboration with the wider team.
• Respond effectively to changes in clinical condition and initiate appropriate interventions or escalation.
• Work in partnership with families and carers to ensure care is responsive, inclusive, and emotionally supportive.
• Provide clear, age-appropriate information to children and families regarding treatment, procedures, and discharge planning.
• Act as an advocate for children and families, ensuring their voices are heard in the care process.
  
  

Applicants Should Meet The Following Criteria

• Registered Children’s Nurse with valid NMC registration.
• Substantial post-registration experience in paediatric nursing.
• Proven ability to coordinate care and support junior staff.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills.
• Strong understanding of safeguarding, child development, and family-centred care principles.
• Experience in a senior or team leader role.
• Mentorship or Practice Assessor qualification.
• PILS/APLS certification.
• Experience in a paediatric specialty (e.g. surgery, oncology, critical care, ambulatory care).
• Familiarity with private healthcare pathways or elective paediatric services.
