As a Senior Quantity Surveyor you'll work on projects that make a real difference to our environment and our communities - from improving flood defences, to upgrading water treatment works and providing nature-based solutions that improve biodiversity.

You will be involved throughout the entire project life cycle, from early contractor involvement, optioneering, tender negotiation through to the design, procurement, construct, commissioning and handover of schemes.

You will ensure that our projects are financially viable, legally compliant, and completed to the required standards.

The Role Of a Senior Quantity Surveyor Includes

  • Ensuring robust cost management processes are in place, providing accurate and timely reports, data, and analysis to assist in commercial decisions.
  • Working closely with the delivery team to identify, implement, and monitor efficiency plans throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Actively challenge team members to drive best value for clients in project delivery.
  • Ensuring all project team members understand the contractual arrangements to meet client requirements.
  • Supporting our clients to maximise opportunities and mitigate risks to help deliver successful outcomes.
  • Influencing and advising on the contractual and commercial aspects of schemes to ensure robust project control.
  • Creating, fostering and maintaining strong client relationships, understanding client needs and ensuring clear communication at all times.
  • Providing guidance and support to junior commercial staff

What You’ll Need

  • A degree in Quantity Surveying or Civil Engineering or related field
  • Experience and knowledge of NEC Contracts
  • A practical mindset, good math skills, the ability to solve problems and manage project finances.
  • A valid driving licence and willingness to travel to sites across your operational region
