Chilled Food Manufacturing

Transformation Programme

Shape the future of food manufacturing with The Compleat Food Group.

Are you an experienced Senior Process Manager with a passion for quality, innovation and operational excellence in the food industry? Do you thrive in complex, fast-paced manufacturing environments where no two days are the same? If you’re ready to take on a high-impact role that will influence product transfer, process capability and quality consistency across multiple sites, this could be the opportunity for you. At The Compleat Food Group, we’re on an exciting journey to become the UK’s No.1 chilled prepared food company. We're one of the UK's fastest growing chilled food companies and we’re looking for a confident, hands-on and commercially minded TMO Senior Process Manager to play a key role in delivering successful intra-company product transfers across our expanding group.

The role

This is a leadership role in our NPD team with real influence. You’ll take ownership for the successful transfer of existing and new SKUs between our sites, ensuring that quality, process standards, customer confidence and operational performance are maintained — and improved throughout every stage of the journey. Working closely with our TMO Product, Process & Quality Director, as well as Engineering, Technical, HSE, Operations, NPD and wider site teams, you’ll help scope, validate and implement new manufacturing equipment, identify opportunities to enhance quality and capability, and build robust plans that deliver for our customers, our brands and our people. This is more than a process role. It’s an opportunity to lead change, connect teams, influence at senior level and leave a lasting legacy across our growing business.

What you’ll be doing

  • Leading and supporting the successful transfer of products between sites, ensuring process, quality and customer standards are protected throughout.
  • Driving process strategy across NPD, EPD and Quality OpEx activity linked to product transfer projects.
  • Supporting the sourcing, scoping and validation of new manufacturing equipment, including supplier engagement and European travel where required.
  • Leading detailed trials, scale-up activity and process validation to ensure products are safe, consistent, scalable and commercially viable.
  • Building strong relationships with site teams, customers and cross-functional colleagues to ensure smooth, confident transitions.
  • Championing operational excellence by identifying opportunities to improve efficiency, reduce cost and strengthen capability.
  • Establishing best practice, standardised ways of working and post-transfer review processes so that learning is captured and shared across the group.
  • Building, leading and developing a high-performing process team as projects move into commissioning and delivery phases.
  • Representing process development in senior forums, project reviews and customer conversations with confidence and credibility.
  • Travelling weekly across our UK sites and also to European supplier partners and equipment suppliers

What we’re looking for

We’re looking for an experienced food manufacturing professional who knows how to deliver change at pace without compromising quality, safety or customer confidence.

You’ll bring:

  • Strong experience in process management, process development, NPD, EPD or product transfer within chilled food, private label or fast-paced food manufacturing.
  • A proven track record of delivering successful product launches, transfers, scale-up activity or equipment validation projects.
  • Experience working across multiple sites or complex manufacturing environments.
  • Strong knowledge of food safety, HACCP, quality systems, customer standards and factory process controls.
  • Excellent project management skills, with the ability to manage critical paths, priorities and stakeholders.
  • The confidence to influence senior leaders, customers, suppliers and site teams.
  • A practical, hands-on approach, balanced with strong strategic thinking.
  • A passion for quality, continuous improvement and creating processes that work in the real world.
  • Driving licence and commitment to travel across the UK and Europe weekly

A degree or HND in Food Science, Manufacturing or a related discipline would be advantageous, alongside HACCP and Food Safety training.

Why join us?

This is a rare opportunity to join a growing food group in a role where your expertise will make a visible difference. You’ll be part of a business with ambitious plans, brilliant brands and a genuine commitment to quality, people and progress. Further more you’ll have the chance to:

  • Lead high-profile product transfer projects across a large multi-site chilled food manufacturing group.
  • Work with talented teams across Process, Technical, Engineering, HSE, NPD, Operations and Supply Chain.
  • Influence new equipment decisions and help shape future manufacturing capability.
  • Drive quality and process improvements that will benefit our customers, colleagues and consumers.
  • Build your network across the group and play a key part in our One Compleat approach.
  • Continue developing your career through formal and informal learning, mentoring and development opportunities.
  • Be part of a business that supports wellbeing, community impact and volunteering.

About you

You’ll be a confident, credible and collaborative leader who enjoys getting close to the factory, the product and the people who make things happen. You’ll be comfortable operating at pace, managing complexity and bringing structure to challenging projects. Most importantly, you’ll care deeply about doing things properly — protecting quality, building trust and delivering great tasting quality food to our customers and consumers.

Ready to make your mark?

If you’re an experienced Process Manager looking for a role with scale, challenge and real purpose, we’d love to hear from you. Join The Compleat Food Group and help us shape the next chapter of quality, process excellence and food manufacturing transformation.
