Job Title: Senior Manager Manufacturing Science

Location: Swindon

We are recruiting for a Senior Manager to join our Swindon team.

Responsibilities:

  • Own the Site Manufacturing Sciences & Technology Team to provide all vital Commercial, Product and Production Process Technical support to achieve the Site Business Plan.
  • Support the delivery of Capital investment projects within our GMP Manufacturing Facilities to meet customer requirements and to enable the continuous improvement of the Site’s Production capabilities.
  • Introduce new technologies relating to Vision Systems, Visual Inspection and Process Performance Capability monitoring to enable cost effective growth and compliance with our GMP Standards.
  • Act as the Site Technical Lead collaborating closely directly with our customers take the technical ownership of all product transfers and Product launches ensure in the Site Portfolio.
  • Collaborate with MSAT leads in our network of European Manufacturing Sites and our Global Manufacturing and Technology Teams to ensure standard methodologies and capabilities are shared and implemented.
  • Continuously drive product quality by providing effective resolutions to CAPA investigations, implementing corrective actions within set time constraints and practicing continuous improvement through the use of our PPI Business System.
  • Continuously review site technical capabilities and collaborate with other functions within the site to lead the technical capability for the site
  • Responsible for ensuring that departments complete and maintain the VMP (validation master plan) activities in their respective scope of responsibility, including the annual revalidation process and cleaning procedures.

Who we are looking for:

  • Bachelors Degree in engineering, science, or related field or equivalent experience.
  • In-depth knowledge of end-to-end pharmaceutical manufacturing processes, EH&S, CQV, Quality-by-Design, Process Capability and problem-solving technical issues. Experience of Sterile Pharmaceutical Manufacturing preferred.
  • Experienced at leading drug product development processes and product technical transfers.
  • A self-starting experienced people leader who is capable of motivating change, accountability and collaboration.
  • Demonstrated CAPEX project experience in a Pharmaceutical (or similar GMP) environment.
  • Validation (CQV) experience within an FDA (or similar) regulated environment.
  • A Risk-based approach to problem-solving.
  • Excellent leadership and networking skills.
  • Advanced level of English.
