Role Overview:

You will provide senior-level care assistance on a relief or bank basis at Greenways, Bognor Regis. This contractual role involves delivering high-quality, person-centred support to residents in a care home setting. Your work will directly contribute to the health, wellbeing, and dignity of individuals with complex care needs. Consistency in care standards and adherence to safeguarding protocols are essential.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver personal care tasks including bathing, dressing, and toileting support with full respect for individual preferences and privacy.

• Assist with medication administration under the direction of registered nursing staff or senior carers.

• Monitor residents’ health by observing and reporting changes in condition, behaviour, or wellbeing to senior staff.

• Maintain accurate records of care provided using digital or paper-based systems as required by policy.

• Support activities of daily living such as mobility assistance, mealtime support, and social engagement to enhance quality of life.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Minimum NVQ Level 2 in Health and Social Care or equivalent qualification.

• At least two years of recent experience in a senior care assistant or similar role within a residential care setting.

• Valid DBS check at enhanced level with no barred list status.

• Knowledge of infection control practices and safe handling of personal care tasks.

• Ability to communicate clearly and empathetically with residents, families, and multidisciplinary staff.
