Role Overview:
We are hiring for one of our clients, seeking a Senior Care Assistant (Relief/Bank) based at Westbury Grange, Newport Bagnell to work on a contractual basis. This role involves providing high-quality care and support to residents in a residential care setting, ensuring their comfort, dignity, and wellbeing. The position requires a compassionate and experienced professional who can deliver person-centred care while adhering to industry standards and regulatory requirements. This work is essential to maintaining a safe and nurturing environment for vulnerable individuals.
Key Responsibilities:
• Deliver personalised care to residents, including assistance with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, and eating.
• Monitor and document residents’ health conditions, reporting any changes or concerns to senior staff or healthcare professionals.
• Support the planning and implementation of individual care plans in collaboration with the care team.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for residents, following infection control and health and safety protocols.
• Provide emotional support and companionship to residents, fostering positive relationships and promoting social engagement.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
• Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a care assistant or similar role within a residential care setting.
• Strong understanding of person-centred care principles and dignity in care standards.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team in a fast-paced environment.
• Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and adhering to safeguarding policies.
• Valid DBS check and relevant care qualification (e.g., Level 2 or 3 Diploma in Health and Social Care).
