We’re looking for an exceptional Senior Financial Accountant to join our Finance Team, based in Cambridge reporting to Head of Global Accounting.
This role is offered on a hybrid basis, with a minimum of 3 days a week being based in the office.

Responsibilities
Financial Close & Reporting:
- Manage the month-end and year-end financial close process, ensuring timely and accurate reporting.
- Prepare and review financial statements in compliance with IFRS / US GAAP / Local GAAP.
- Perform balance sheet reconciliations, bank reconciliations, journal entries, prepayments and accruals.
- Ensure proper intercompany accounting, reconciliations, and eliminations.
- Maintain accurate general ledger records for multiple legal entities.
- Support consolidation of financial statements, working with the tax team and business finance team as needed.
- Prepare statutory financial statements and ensure compliance with local regulations.
- Coordinate with external auditors, tax advisors, and regulators to support audits and tax filings.
- Ensure all regulatory reporting is submitted accurately and on time.
- Monitor changes in accounting standards and local regulations, advising on potential impacts.
- Ensure compliance with internal financial controls and company policies.
- Support the implementation and documentation of internal control procedures where applicable.
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy in financial reporting.
- Assist with ERP system enhancements and automation of accounting processes.
- Act as the key finance contact for external audits, providing required documentation and explanations.
- Support the finance team in preparing tax-related financial disclosures.
- Ensure tax compliance in coordination with local tax advisors and internal teams.
About You
To be successful in this role, you’ll need to have/be:
- Experience handling multi-entity accounting and statutory reporting.
- Strong knowledge of IFRS, US GAAP, and local statutory requirements.
- Proficiency in ERP systems (NetSuite, Oracle, or similar) and advanced Excel skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Experience working with external auditors and tax authorities
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, multi-entity environment.
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field; CPA, ACCA or equivalent certification preferred.
- Big 4 audit background is a plus.
- 3–5 years of experience in financial accounting, preferably in MedTech, Life Sciences, or Healthcare industries.
