About The Role
The position requires a highly motivated, well organised, flexible and pro-active Senior Buyer to:
Minimum 4 Years’ Work Experience
Experienced with leading cross-functional, sourcing projects
Ability to work in a truly global organisation. Proven experience in working in a fast moving and result driven environment which demands to work under pressure
Experience in negotiation techniques with good interpersonal and relationship building skills
Strong ability to understand, analyse and present data to support a proposed recommendation is essential to this role
High degree of fluency of English is required for negotiations and internal communications
Knowledge of other languages is an advantage
Communicates in a very clear and structured way verbally and in writing

About The Role
The position requires a highly motivated, well organised, flexible and pro-active Senior Buyer to:
- Lead the procurement of a subsection of a global category under the supervision of the Global Category Lead withing both the Insights & Analytics and Design & Artwork categories.
- Build and accelerate sustainable Procurement strategies for the Category sub-section under scope (across all KPIs including total cost, NWC, quality, service & innovation) through understanding of, and supporting internal stakeholders’ needs, professional sourcing approach, building effective relationships and alignment with stakeholders, and increasing spend coverage by Procurement,
- Deliver year on year efficiency savings projects through a mix of strategic initiatives, ideations, mix and demand management, suppliers’ initiatives, procurement events.
- Consolidate the spend and manage the spend category holistically. Co-author a playbook, where relevant, with business partners internally.
- Work closely with business partners to understand needs, objectives, and priorities to optimise total cost, NWC, quality and service
- Use standard category management tools to organise and structure knowledge, develop objectives and measure against agreed KPIs.
- Design and implement sourcing strategies for identified sub-sections of the Global Category in order to achieve optimal supply base that will general competitive advantage
- Identify, select, develop suppliers for the sub-section of the Category. Negotiate and contract with those identified suppliers.
- Prepare budget assumptions where applicable
- Report in a timely and accurate manner on activities within the subsection of the Category and escalate to the right forum to gain support
- Identify risks and opportunities involved in each sourcing process as well as across the sub-section of the Category.
- Identify, gain support for, and drive quality and service improvement strategies.
- Follow market trends for marketing and scout for insights and innovations
- Keep a sound relationship with suppliers in scope. Motivate suppliers to treat the company as a preferred customer in presenting innovation and/or cost/efficiency projects
- Build appropriate templates and utilise various metrics to provide better insight into the subsection of the Category. Leverages appropriate external sources to strengthen the viewpoint and problem solve situations
- Embed DE&I and sustainability goals into the roadmap for the Category subsection.
