The Role
As Senior Business Intelligence Developer, you’ll design, build, and maintain Bodycote’s databases and Business Intelligence solutions, integrating disparate data sets from a wide range of business systems. You’ll take ownership of developing scalable database solutions, supporting strategic data initiatives including the new Data Warehouse environment, and optimising the existing BI landscape to deliver meaningful outcomes for our business, our customers, and the industries we serve.

The Role
As Senior Business Intelligence Developer, you’ll design, build, and maintain Bodycote’s databases and Business Intelligence solutions, integrating disparate data sets from a wide range of business systems. You’ll take ownership of developing scalable database solutions, supporting strategic data initiatives including the new Data Warehouse environment, and optimising the existing BI landscape to deliver meaningful outcomes for our business, our customers, and the industries we serve.
Who We’re Looking For
We’re Looking For Someone Who Brings
- Proven experience working in a Business Intelligence or Database Development role within a multinational organisation.
- Strong technical expertise in Microsoft SQL Server, Azure SQL Database, BLOB storage, Data Lake technologies, and database administration/performance optimisation.
- Experience designing and developing ETL solutions using technologies such as SSIS and Azure Data Factory, alongside strong data modelling capabilities.
- Experience developing dashboards and reports using Power BI and/or Microsoft SSRS.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret user and technical requirements into robust, scalable solutions.
- Experience monitoring system performance, troubleshooting database issues, and implementing optimisation improvements.
- Knowledge of Visual Studio and Python, with exposure to SAP HANA considered advantageous.
- The ability to work independently, manage competing priorities effectively, and communicate professionally with stakeholders at all levels.
- A degree in Computer Science, Business Intelligence, or a related field, or equivalent relevant professional experience.
- A collaborative mindset with the ability to contribute to strategic programmes involving large and complex data sets.
