Key Responsibilities
- Provide 1:1 and group support to pupils with special educational needs
- Assist with classroom management and the preparation of learning materials
- Encourage positive behaviour and foster a safe, inclusive learning environment
- Support pupils personal and emotional development
- Work collaboratively with teachers, therapists, and other professionals
- Help with personal care needs where necessary
- Contribute to the monitoring and recording of pupil progress
- Experience working with children or young people, ideally in a SEN or educational setting
- A patient, empathetic, and positive attitude
- Strong communication skills and the ability to build trusting relationships with pupils
- Flexibility and adaptability in a dynamic school environment
- A commitment to the wellbeing and development of every child
- Relevant qualifications (e.g., Level 2/3 Teaching Assistant, SEN qualifications) are desirable but not essential
