Pay Rate: £87 - £108 per day (Depending on experience)

Start Date: Immediate

Contract Type: Daily Supply, Long Term

About The Role

As a SEMH Teaching Assistant (TA) - Secondary, you will play a vital role in providing tailored support to students with SEMH needs, helping them to overcome barriers to learning and achieve their full potential. Key Responsibilities Of SEMH Teaching Assistant (TA)

• Support students with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs in their academic and personal development.
• Teach a range of subjects to students aged 11-16.
• Work closely with teachers and other staff to create a supportive learning environment.
• Implement individualised support plans and strategies.
• Assist in managing classroom behaviour and promoting positive interactions.
• Provide one-on-one or small group support as needed.
• Monitor and report on student progress and well-being.
  
  

Requirements Of SEMH Teaching Assistant (TA)

• Relevant qualifications in supporting students with special educational needs (e.g., Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant qualification).
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to build positive relationships with students and staff.
• Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for supporting young people.
• Relevant qualifications or training in SEMH support (desirable but not essential).
