We are looking for a Business Development Manager to strengthen our team!
Your Role
Sea Logistics Sales are the business development arm of our Customer Care team. You will spend most of the time in customer-facing activities, hunting for new business as well as work hand in hand with the Customer Care colleagues.

Your Role

Your Responsibilities
- To initiate contact with potential and current customers to generate and qualify leads, promote the company's products and services, and identify sales opportunities
- Profile & develop business relationships with prospective Sea Logistics customers through regular face-to-face engagement
- To develop solutions for customers based on detailed understanding of their requirements
- To take pricing decisions in alignment with the relevant internal stakeholders
- To prepare, submit and follow up quotations to the customers
- Record Customer facing activity in CRM system meeting desired activity targets
- Build a portfolio of new business Customers with a key focus on Customer growth and profitability of your portfolio
- Contribute to UK organization growth targets by meeting volume targets as a minimum
- Experience in freight forwarding preferential
- You have a drive, assertion and the ability to communicate with others in a logical manner
- A friendly approach and the ability to influence and persuade others are important to the function
- The ability to build relationships with customers and develop sales leads
- Effective and proactive time management and forward planning
- Strong internal networking ability
- The ability to understand a customer’s needs and translate them into successful solutions
- A driving license is essential
