Scrum Master Internship - #194538

Arabian Private Holdings

Date: 3 weeks ago
City: Manchester
Contract type: Full time
Remote
About the role
The Scrum Master Internship exists to ensure that our delivery teams maintain a disciplined rhythm during complex client engagements. This position is particularly focused on supporting a mandate for a Manchester-based group that requires precise coordination across multiple workstreams. You will assist our principals in removing operational friction and ensuring that the work remains centered on the client's core objectives.

About Arabian Private Holdings
Arabian Private Holdings was founded on the principle that many critical business problems do not fit the traditional large-firm consulting model. A board facing a succession question or a family group weighing a capital injection does not need a team of twelve associates and a hundred-page methodology deck. They need experienced partners who can sit with a problem, form a rigorous view, and defend it. We take on a limited number of mandates to ensure that every client receives direct attention from the principals who are actually accountable for the outcome. Our work covers corporate strategy, governance, and operating model efficiency for some of the most significant family groups, listed corporations, and government entities in the region. We focus on clarity over complexity. As a fully remote firm, we prioritize the quality of our analysis and the strength of our relationships over traditional office overhead.

What you will do
  • Facilitate daily check-ins and progress updates for the project team assigned to our Manchester-based client mandate.
  • Assist in organizing the backlog of tasks to ensure that the most critical governance and strategy items are addressed first.
  • Identify and document blockers that prevent the team from meeting their weekly objectives.
  • Support the principals in refining the internal operating model to improve team performance and communication.
  • Prepare brief, clear status reports that summarize progress without using unnecessary corporate jargon.
  • Monitor the timeline of deliverables to ensure the firm meets its commitments to the holding company and its stakeholders.
  • Help maintain a clean digital workspace where all project documentation is easily accessible to the remote team.
  • Observe and learn how to manage technical and strategic requirements within a high-stakes consulting environment.

What we are looking for
  • A logical mind capable of breaking down complex goals into manageable steps.
  • Clear, concise written and verbal communication skills: we value brevity and precision.
  • Basic familiarity with agile principles or a strong interest in how teams organize their work effectively.
  • An ability to remain organized while managing multiple tasks in a fully remote setting.
  • Curiosity about corporate governance and how large holding companies function.
  • A professional demeanor that allows you to interact confidently with senior colleagues.
  • A preference for simple, effective solutions over complicated administrative processes.

How we work
Operating as a remote firm requires a high degree of trust and autonomy. We do not micro-manage, but we do set very high standards for the quality of thought and the clarity of our output. Because we are principal-led, interns have the opportunity to observe how experienced partners form a view on difficult problems and how they navigate high-level mandates. Communication is frequent but purposeful. We use digital tools to stay connected across time zones, ensuring that every team member has the context they need to perform their duties. This model allows us to focus entirely on the work that matters to our clients, free from the distractions of a traditional office environment.

What the role offers
  • A paid position with a competitive monthly stipend for the internship duration.
  • Experience working on a significant mandate for a Manchester-based client within a professional services context.
  • Direct mentorship from principals who have led strategy at the highest levels of corporate and government sectors.
  • A fully remote work arrangement that offers flexibility in how you manage your day.
  • Exposure to the practical application of scrum and agile methods in a non-technical corporate strategy environment.
  • The opportunity to build a foundation in professional project management and corporate governance.
