The Salesforce Support team has been created to support and develop the growing reliance on Salesforce as a central tool that unites all key functions. The team are producing new processes with accompanying training plans to guide Salesforce users in the correct and most effective use of the CRM tool. They are also rolling out new developments that will streamline and enhance the way we do business in Sika.

As a Salesforce Sales Operations Specialist, you will serve as the vital link between our Distribution Sales team and the Salesforce Support team, fostering seamless communication and collaboration. Your primary responsibility will involve providing comprehensive support for the Salesforce platform, drawing upon your deep understanding of Salesforce functionalities and best practices, particularly tailored to the building materials and construction distribution industry.

Collaborating closely with our experienced Salesforce team, your mission will be to ensure that Salesforce is continually optimised to empower our sales teams to work with maximum productivity and efficiency. You will play a pivotal role in enhancing Salesforce specifically for our Distribution sales teams, ensuring that it aligns perfectly with their unique needs and objectives.

This position offers an exciting opportunity for a seasoned Salesforce Administrator, Champion/Key User looking to transition into a Sales Operations-centric role or for a Sales Operations/Support specialist eager to advance into a specialised Salesforce role.

As a Salesforce Sales Operations Specialist, you will serve as the primary liaison with our Distribution Sales team, based out of our Leeds office, with occasional travel to other offices across the UK. This role demands a genuine passion for Salesforce, exceptional communication skills, and the ability to comprehend complex requirements and work closely with the Salesforce Support team to translate them into actionable ideas,

This role offers hands-on experience in supporting our Salesforce user base and actively contributing to the success of our Salesforce initiatives.

Job Description:

  • Act as the primary liaison between the Sales Operations team and the Salesforce support team, facilitating seamless communication and collaboration.
  • Provide comprehensive support for the Salesforce platform, ensuring its optimisation for sales processes within the building materials and construction distribution industry.
  • Collaborate with the Salesforce team to prioritise and implement enhancements, ensuring Salesforce is continually improved to meet the evolving needs of the Distribution sales teams.
  • Serve as the main point of contact for Salesforce-related inquiries, feedback, and enhancement requests from the Distribution sales team, ensuring timely resolution and effective communication.
  • Support the rollout of Salesforce solutions and updates within the Distribution sales team, providing guidance and assistance as needed.
  • Assist in the creation of bespoke reports and dashboards to track key sales metrics and provide actionable insights for decision-making.
  • Actively monitor Salesforce usage within the Distribution sales teams, identifying areas for improvement and providing recommendations for optimisation.
  • Conduct regular meetings with stakeholders to gather feedback and insights, ensuring Salesforce aligns with business objectives and drives maximum value for the organisation.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure Salesforce integrations and processes are aligned with organisational goals and objectives.



What we need from you:

  • Minimum 2 years of practical Salesforce experience within Sales Cloud (other Clouds and bespoke customisations desirable).
  • Experience of working within the building materials and construction distribution industry.
  • Experience and knowledge of distribution sales channels and customer base e.g. Independent Merchants, Nationals Merchants/Accounts, Buying Groups and Wholesalers.
  • Experience in a similar role - providing Salesforce support to a sales function.
  • Enthusiasm for Salesforce and technology in general.
  • Strong understanding of Salesforce functionality, with certifications desirable.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills for diverse audiences.
  • Proven track record of supporting Salesforce enhancement projects.
  • Commitment to continuous professional development.
  • Strong organisational skills for managing multiple projects and initiatives.
  • Collaborative mindset for effective teamwork.
  • Full UK Driving Licence and willingness to travel to other UK sites when required.
