Purpose Of The Role

The Sales Manager is responsible for driving the sales of ERP software Ridder iQ.

Position In The Organization

The Sales Manager reports to the Head of Sales.

This position is remote within the UK with willingness to travel to customer sites and our UK headquarters: Eden House, Whisby Way Lincoln, LN6 3LQ

Key Responsibilities

Relationship Management

  • Advising prospects on improvements in business processes.
  • Informing prospects about operational, tactical, and strategic developments at ECI.
  • Building a network with partners, customers, and industry organizations.
  • Establishing a solid forecast and annual plan.
  • Acting as a knowledge partner for prospects regarding software and business processes.

Sales

  • Directly responsible for generating new business revenue.
  • Demonstrated ability to take initiative and be innovative and resourceful in evolving sales methods to optimize new product success
  • Advising prospects on ERP software purchases.
  • Managing own budget and direct sales responsibilities.
  • Actively contributing to increasing revenue per deal.
  • Identifying market needs and reporting them to the relevant stakeholders (Product Management).

Marketing

  • Proactively approaching the market regarding ECI products.
  • Participating in presentations and representing the company at trade fairs and events.

Administration

  • Ensuring accurate data entry in the CRM system.
  • Monitoring the progress of own projects in terms of time and budget.
  • Recording visit reports and internally reporting to stakeholders.
  • Preparing tailored proposals and advisory reports.

Professional Development

  • Gathering market intelligence by visiting companies, trade fairs, and industry-specific events.
  • Continuously updating knowledge of software and industry trends.
  • Providing advisory support to the consultancy and product management teams.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a commercial or business-related field.
  • At least 3 years of relevant commercial experience, preferably in the manufacturing industry.
  • Experience in selling complex software systems.
  • Knowledge of ERP systems and logistics processes.
  • Understanding of sales and improvement processes.
  • Experience with project-based work.
  • Customer- and service-oriented mindset.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Persuasive, proactive, and initiative-driven.
  • Strategic and analytical thinking.
  • Excellent communication skills in English.
