Role Overview

The EMEA Energy & Data Center Sales Director is responsible for driving growth across ADI’s Energy and Data Center Infrastructure portfolio throughout Europe.

This role leads complex, multi-country customer engagements across utilities, energy infrastructure providers, hyperscale, OEMs and ecosystem partners. The leader will work closely with EMEA sales teams, global Business Units (BUs), Key Account Managers (KAMs), and Field Application Engineers (FAEs) to influence system architectures, shape long-term roadmaps, and accelerate design wins into revenue.

A deep understanding of the unique EMEA energy ecosystem—including regulatory diversity, regional market structures, public/private utilities, DSO and TSO—is critical for success.

Key Responsibilities

Sales & Account Leadership

  • Own and execute the EMEA sales strategy for Energy and Data Center Infrastructure customers in alignment with ADI vertical priorities.
  • Drive revenue growth through strategic account planning, pipeline development, and disciplined opportunity management across multiple countries and regions.
  • Lead executive-level, system-level customer engagements, influencing architecture and technology decisions early in the design cycle.
  • Identify and prioritize strategic customers and programs across utilities, renewable energy, energy storage, grid infrastructure, and data center power and infrastructure.

Cross-Functional & Regional Collaboration

  • Partner closely with EMEA/US KAMs, FAEs, and regional sales leaders to align customer strategy, technical resources, and investment priorities.
  • Work with global Business Units to translate EMEA customer requirements into actionable product, roadmap, and engagement plans.
  • Ensure effective execution from early design engagement through production ramp across geographically distributed teams.

Global Coordination

  • Act as the EMEA focal point for Energy and Data Center Infrastructure, ensuring alignment with US and APAC counterparts on global accounts.
  • Share customer insights, ecosystem intelligence, and competitive dynamics with global sales and BU leadership.
  • Support global customers headquartered in EMEA while coordinating with regional teams worldwide.

Customer & Ecosystem Engagement

  • Engage deeply with the EMEA energy ecosystem, including utilities, transmission and distribution operators, renewable developers, and industry consortia.
  • Navigate region-specific market structures, regulatory frameworks, and funding models unique to Europe and adjacent regions.
  • Position ADI as a trusted system-level partner, articulating differentiated value across power delivery, energy management, protection, sensing, connectivity, and data/insight generation—beyond discrete components.

Experience & Background

Required:

  • Minimum 10+ years of experience in semiconductor, energy, power, or data center–adjacent industries.
  • Proven track record managing complex B2B customers with multi-country, multi-stakeholder decision structures.
  • Demonstrated success operating within a matrixed, global organization, collaborating across sales, applications, and product teams.
  • Strong understanding of EMEA energy market dynamics, including regulatory diversity, regional ecosystems, and customer segmentation.

Desirable (not mandatory):

  • Semiconductor sales or applications experience in power, energy, or infrastructure markets.
  • Direct energy industry experience (generation, transmission, distribution, storage, metering, or industrial energy systems).
  • Understanding of system architectures in energy, grid infrastructure, or data center power applications.
  • Familiarity with Battery Management Systems (BMS), energy storage, and grid modernization concepts.
  • Experience positioning portfolio-level solutions that combine power, sensing, and data.

Core Capabilities

  • Strong system-level selling capability with the ability to connect customer challenges to portfolio-level solutions.
  • Solid technical foundation enabling effective engagement with customer engineering and system teams.
  • Ability to manage long, technically complex sales cycles.
  • Collaborative, execution-focused leadership style suited to cross-functional and cross-regional teams.
  • Comfortable operating across multiple countries, cultures, and time zones.
