What you’ll do:

To directly manage OTP and Trackside Plant operations (including lifting operations) on Rail Projects under the management of the company POS Rep.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Discharging the duties of direct control on site of the designated item of OTP
  • To undertake operations of the OTP you are in control of on site in a safe manner
  • Hold a company Authority to work Card for the specific machine type, make and model you are operating
  • Liaise with Machine Controller & Crane Controller, POS Rep, other plant operators and others on site affected by the operations and movement of machines and equipment
  • To receive and comply with instructions received from the controlling Machine/Crane Controller
  • To receive and comply with instructions received from the company POS Representative
  • Understand the limitations of machine operations and movement with regard to lifting operations where ALO (Adjacent Line Open) is in operation

What we’re looking for:

  • Hold and maintain the required Sentinel competence for Machine and Crane Controller (as applicable)
  • Hold a full, clean UK driving licence
  • Only operate OTP’s for which you hold the relevant competence
  • Have at least 2 years relevant experience of operating OTP machines
  • Have completed the Network Rail Detailed ALO Knowledge Briefing
  • Ability to work well in a team environment
  • Well organised and structured approach to work
