Joining us as a Risk Analyst


Reporting to the Risk & Controls Manager, this is a key role in the second line of defence by identifying, assessing, and managing risks according to the risk management framework. Through collaboration, analysis, reporting, and monitoring, they help mitigate risk exposures and protect CityFibre's objectives.


You’ll receive a salary of up to £55,000, a car allowance, a performance related bonus, and a range of benefits to support you across your financial, physical and mental wellbeing.


This is some of what you can expect to be doing:


  • Organising, consolidating and analysing risk data, outlining key actionable insights
  • Streamline and improve existing risk processes including exploring automation solutions
  • Monitoring Controls & Remediation Plans - oversee plans to address risks breaching CF’s appetite or requiring remediation including reporting on delivery progress
  • Manage administrative tasks related to risk reporting e.g. sending communications, organising kick-off calls, guiding stakeholders through deadlines/requirements. Ensuring reporting processes run smoothly will be a major responsibility
  • Acting as a key contact, work with risk management leads to maintain engagement and foster an ongoing dialogue about risk management through forums and regular interaction
  • Documentation of the control framework including conducting control self assessments


What you’ll bring to the role


You will have experience in a similar role with a good knowledge of risk management frameworks and proven experience in identification, analysis, and mitigation of risk. You’ll also have:


  • Expertise in quantitative and qualitative risk assessment methodologies
  • Proficiency in data analysis tools, including advanced Excel functions (VLOOKUP, XLOOKUP, SUMIFS, pivot tables) or similar software
  • Experience with statistical and mathematical modelling e.g. Monte Carlo
  • Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and commitment to data accuracy
  • Skilled at interpreting complex data sets and identifying critical insights
  • Adept at navigating complex environments and presenting information clearly for decision-making
