About the Role

We are looking for a skilled and detail-oriented Structural Revit Technician to join our buildings team. The successful candidate will have proven experience producing structural drawings and BIM models for building structures, with a strong focus on reinforced concrete and structural steelwork frames.

You will work closely with engineers and technicians to deliver coordinated and high-quality design information for a range of projects, from concept through to construction. This is a great opportunity to be involved in technically challenging and rewarding work in a supportive environment.

Key Responsibilities

    • Produce accurate and detailed 3D models and 2D drawings using Revit Structure in line with project requirements and industry standards.
    • Develop and coordinate structural models within a BIM environment, collaborating with architects and other disciplines.
    • Generate general arrangement drawings, sections, and details for reinforced concrete and steel structures.
    • Support project delivery from concept through to construction, including model updates, revisions, and clash detection.
    • Maintain Revit families, templates, and drawing standards in line with company BIM protocols.
    • Work under the guidance of engineers and senior technicians, supporting project planning and delivery.
    • (Ideal but not essential) Assist with reinforced concrete scheduling, including bar bending schedules and reinforcement detailing.

Requirements

Essential:

    • Strong proficiency in Revit Structure and 2D drafting in AutoCAD.
    • Experience producing structural models and drawings for reinforced concrete and structural steelwork frames.
    • Understanding of BIM processes and digital collaboration tools (e.g., Navisworks, BIM360/ACC, IFC workflows).
    • Good understanding of building construction methods and structural detailing.
    • Excellent attention to detail and ability to work to deadlines.
    • Strong communication and coordination skills.

Desirable:

    • Experience in reinforced concrete scheduling and reinforcement detailing.
    • Exposure to multi-disciplinary coordination in a BIM environment.
    • Knowledge of UK Building Regulations and Eurocodes.
