We are seeking an enthusiastic, team-oriented Registered Veterinary Nurse to join our team at Deane Vets, Taunton, on a full-time basis. This is a temporary contract to cover maternity leave, with the potential to extend Deane Vets are a close-knit, caring small animal practice on the outskirts of Taunton. How You’ll Make a Difference


As a Registered Veterinary Nurse, you will be an integral member of the clinical team, delivering high-quality nursing care to patients while supporting excellent client experiences You’ll work collaboratively with veterinary surgeons and the wider practice team, taking responsibility for the nursing care of a range of first opinion cases, contributing to clinical standards, and supporting the ongoing development of patient care within the practice This is a full-time position working 40 hours per week. Shifts are nine hours long, including a one-hour unpaid lunch break, and fall between 8 am and 7 pm. There is no weekday out-of-hours requirement Weekend duty cover is required, with daytime weekend shifts on Saturday and Sunday from 8 am to 7 pm on a 1-in-8 rota, and time off in lieu (TOIL) is given as a paid day the following week. Additionally, the role requires working every other Saturday from 8 am to 1 pm, with TOIL provided in the week before General responsibilities include:
  • Patient care
  • Nurse clinics
  • Theatre work
  • Supporting treatments and procedures

  • Registration as a Veterinary Nurse with the RCVS
