Scientific Drilling is seeking a dynamic Regional Operations Manager to lead our operations in Europe, the Caspian region, and Sub-Saharan Africa. In this pivotal role, you will coordinate and evaluate our diverse operations and processes, ensuring that we meet our ambitious growth targets and maintain the highest standards of quality and safety.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, organise, coordinate and evaluate operations and processes within the Region. Properly control all business and technical aspects, and maintain appropriate systems for measuring necessary aspects of business management, and report this information to EH Divisional office
- Develop strategies and business plans to maximize long-term profitability in new and existing countries and/or regions and markets and present these strategies to executive management.
- Develop strategic relationships and agreements with customers, suppliers, and local partners to enable efficient and profitable business operations throughout the region.
- Have full responsibility for Profit/Loss performance of the region, managing and controlling expenditure within agreed budgets.
- Work with various internal departments (legal, accounts, safety, engineering, manufacturing, product line) to execute strategies for long-term growth and profitability.
- Evaluate potential new business opportunities and maintain existing customers within the Region. Keep familiar with, and report back on, competitor and customer activity and business information
- Take overall responsibility for QHSE matters within the region; and ensure that Operational, Quality and Safety policies are known and adhered to by all employees. Ensure activities meet and integrate with organisational requirements for quality management, health and safety, local legal stipulations, environmental policies and general duty of care. Promote good safety awareness, encouraging and promoting a safe working culture, and by leading by example
- Ensure business is conducted in accordance with company guidelines, good oilfield practice and within the laws of the respective countries of operation
- Manage international service delivery team across multiple locations.
- Manage regional sales representatives
- Extensive travel in Europe/Caspian/SSA Required
- A minimum of 10 years' experience in oilfield management, with a proven track record of success.
- Educated to university level or possess equivalent relevant oilfield experience.
- Results-oriented with excellent commercial judgement and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to multitask effectively while maintaining attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to engage with colleagues at all levels.
- Demonstrates professionalism in appearance and behaviour, committed to continual improvement and customer satisfaction.
- Willingness to travel extensively across Europe, the Caspian, and Sub-Saharan Africa.
