Salary: Up to £20.53 per hour (approx £40k per annum) inclusive of shift allowance, dependent on experience.

About The Role
You'll play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and accuracy of our world-class products. You'll be at the forefront of innovation, working with state-of-the-art Coordinate Measuring Machines and advanced metrology software to guarantee the highest standards of precision in our manufacturing processes.

You’ll have existing experience as a Quality Inspector / Metrology Technician within a manufacturing/production environment.

About The Role
You'll play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and accuracy of our world-class products. You'll be at the forefront of innovation, working with state-of-the-art Coordinate Measuring Machines and advanced metrology software to guarantee the highest standards of precision in our manufacturing processes.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Independently complete first‑off inspections and ISR reports
- Read and interpret engineering drawings and 3D CAD models using GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing) principals.
- Operating machinies using CMM software.
- Measuring cast/machined parts using both laser and CT scanning tools (Zeiss Inspect / GOM), Volume Graphics).
- Use your knowledge to develop and upskill other team members.
- Review and monitor measurement processes with a view to increasing productivity and efficiency.
- Ensure equipment is calibrated, maintained and used in accordance with procedures and traceability requirements.
- Compile corrective action reports for non-conforming products and liaise with production staff to ensure correction of any out of specification features.
- Use metrology techniques to ensure verifiable results following specified procedures.
You’ll have existing experience as a Quality Inspector / Metrology Technician within a manufacturing/production environment.
It Would Be Great If You Also Have
- A good working knowledge of operating CMM software (PC-DMIS 2020+, Zeiss Calypso, Mitutoyo MCOSMOS, Renishaw Modus etc)
- Able to read and interpret engineering drawings and 3D CAD models along with a strong understanding of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing).
- Understanding of inspection of cast/machined parts whilst employing a wide range of measurement techniques.
- Strong logical and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to travel to site.
