Job Overview
This position reports to the Site Quality Manager. At TE Connectivity, the Quality and Reliability Team are responsible for providing timely quality planning support for products and processes, ensuring they comply with customer and contractual requirements. The Quality and Reliability Technician will play a crucial role in ensuring compliance with quality systems and will be responsible for; inspecting and testing received component parts and products, support teams to solve problems, liaise with customers and suppliers on quality issues, prepare performance data and reports, and support the maintenance of the 'Quality Management System.'

The Quality and Reliability Technician will play a crucial role in ensuring compliance with quality systems and will be responsible for; inspecting and testing received component parts and products, support teams to solve problems, liaise with customers and suppliers on quality issues, prepare performance data and reports, and support the maintenance of the 'Quality Management System.'
Job Responsibilities
- Completion of tasks using own judgement and initiative
- Inspection and testing of received component parts and products.
- Provide timely quality planning support for products and processes.
- Support teams to solve problems, with emphasis on root cause analysis – PPSR Process / 8D Reports.
- Reduce costs and improve processes within the factory.
- Continuous improvement.
- Resolution of quality problems.
- Liaison with customers and suppliers on quality issues.
- P reparation of performance data and reports.
- Support the maintenance of the ‘Quality Management System’.
- Track and detail product history through accurate record keeping and charting techniques.
- Perform statistical process evaluations based upon department needs.
- Ensure that non-conforming products are properly handled via non-conforming Materials process.
- Assist in parts/materials qualification and in the execution of first article inspection activities and reports.
- Achieve Goals within Budget & On Time
- Facilitate PPSR Events & Complete 8D Reports.
- Manage Complaints & Resolution of quality problems with both suppliers and customers
- High School Level Qualifications – Maths & English
- A background in quality
- Knowledgeable in writing manufacturing procedures
- Ability to read engineering drawings and specifications.
- Proficient computer skills, including MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Management of Quality Management Systems (QMS)
- Problem Solving Skills – 5 Why, 8D, Ishikawa
- Knowledge of Lean Methodologies – 5s, Std Work
- Good working knowledge of SAP
- Have 2-4 years’ experience in a similar role
- Ability to Work on Own Initiative with minimal supervision
- Be confident enthusiastic and self-motivated.
- Can work under pressure with a professional and flexible attitude with minimal supervision.
