Job Title: Software Quality Engineer I

Location: Bath, UK

Position summary:

As a QA Engineer within the NCR Voyix Edge VMs QA team, you will be an ambassador of quality, working to release high quality software solutions. You can expect to work directly with development teams, taking ownership of producing and implementing robust tests. Successful candidates will find opportunities to work with a wide range of different technologies including but not limited to; React, Linux OS, various hardware and other OSS.

Requirements:

Candidates should have at least 2 years relevant experience or possess a degree in a numerate discipline.

Skills:

• Knowledge and understanding of SDLC
• Attention to detail
• Strong personal organisation
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Programming
  
  

Other relevant skills:

• ISTQB Software Testing qualification
• Working knowledge of git
• Working knowledge of Linux OS / Bash
• Test automation experience
• Exposure to cloud computing - ideally AWS/GCP
  
  

The ideal candidate should have a keen interest in learning new technologies and adapting their skills to suit their work.

Other Requirements:

The job will be based primarily in NCR Voyix’s offices in central Bath. Current work from home policy is minimum 3 days per week in the office and the remainder from home. Employees are required to live within commutable distance of the office. Any workdays from home are a benefit for employees who are performing to a satisfactory level.

Weekly working hours are 37, Monday to Friday, with an unpaid break. Start and end times are flexible whilst adhering to core hours of 9:30 to 16:00. The candidate should be flexible in terms of occasional work outside of regular office hours and on weekends.

Business travel opportunities will be rare.
