Do you have experience as a transcriber or coordinator with FreeREG, FreeBMD or FreeCEN? Could you help us move Free UK Genealogy forward in this exciting time as we develop our projects?
What difference will you make?
We are in an exciting period of change, with a new strategy to take us to the end of the decade and new projects launching soon. Offering your support would have a wide-reaching impact on thousands of volunteers and family history researchers.
What are we looking for?
The successful applicant will ideally have experience as either a transcriber or coordinator with one of our projects. Applicants with experience outside of one of these areas but with experience highly pertinent to our operations would also be considered. They will also have the ability, time and flexibility to meet the commitments of the role.
The Board of Trustees meets every two months, mostly via video conferencing. In addition, there are seven board committees which typically meet monthly and we would be looking for the new trustees to be a member of at least one of these
The role of Trustee is unpaid and Trustees are expected to take part in all meetings that they have committed to. Trustees are appointed for a term of three years. At the end of this term they may be reappointed for a maximum of two more terms. Details of the current trustees is set out at https //www.freeukgenealogy.org.uk/about/trustees/
