About The Role

Our work matters to millions. It’ll matter to you too. Join our Power Transmission and Distribution team as a Project Support Manager and be a key part of delivering complex, meaningful, and impactful projects.

As a Project Support Manager, you will be responsible for management of the training advisor, project development engineer, access & silt fence maintenance coordinator and project site coordinators.

Coordinates a standard and consistent approach to the delivery of projects on time, to

cost and quality.

Supports improvements in project management processes, project reporting and set

up assistance during; initiation, planning, design, delivery, monitoring, commissioning

and handover/close out.

Provides general support to the project management team.

Hours of work per week - 45

What you'll be doing

  • Manage Engineers, Construction Managers, training advisor, project development engineer, access & silt fence maintenance coordinator and project site coordinators.
  • Work alongside Community Liaison Officer, Site Facilities Manager, Project Information Manager, Logistics Manager
  • Assist management of subcontractors, including monitoring of contractor progress, providing direct instruction and support as necessary, such that contractual arrangements are achieved.
  • Ensure assurance activities (audits) are undertaken and follow up on appropriate action on findings
  • Regular site visits to ensure works being carried out are compliant with landowners’ & clients requirements
  • Assists to maintain accurate project records (progress, daily diaries etc.)
  • Prepare both internal/external reports and liaise with stakeholders
  • Collate information and Complete the relevant applications associated with the projects requirements
  • Follow Balfour Beatty processes and procedures
  • Assisting in providing regular client update reports and attending scheme progress meetings as required

  • Experience of working with numerous teams at one time.
  • Organised and able to manage a busy workload.
  • Excellent communication skills and credibility with farmers, landowners and clients.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Up to date IT skills.
  • Team player.
  • Ability to resolves complex problems that do not have routine solutions.
  • Ability to negotiate tactfully and diplomatically with people at all levels.
  • Valid Driver’s license
