Role: Project Planning Specialist / Project Planner

Location: Surrey

My client designs and manufactures electro:mechanical products and they are looking to take on a Project Planning Specialist for a new projects team, on a permanent basis, in the Surrey area.

The Project Planning Specialist will ideally have the following attributes:

: BEng/ BSc qualification or similar in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering or Industrial Engineering

: Approx. 5 or more years of experience in a similar Project Planning / Project Manager role

: Previous experience working in a product environment (mechanical, software, hardware, service etc.)

: Previous experience operating Planning and Estimating standards

: Experience of using advanced toolsets in the production of project planning schedules

: Prince2, PMI or APM qualification would be desirable but not essential

: Excellent proficiency working with MS Office

: Have excellent communication skills

The Project Planning Specialist Role Will Involve

: Ensuring that each project is developed with a well:structured plan

: Producing and maintaining project schedules

: Working closely with Project Managers and also PMO Analysts

: Developing project planning deliverables in line with company standards : Stage Plans, Estimating Approach, Cost Breakdown etc.

: Identifying resource requirements

: Providing accurate forecasts

: Ensuring that projects adhere to project planning standards
