About Us: Our client is a leading civils subcontractor specializing in water works projects, currently involved in the prestigious AMP 8 scheme. With a strong commitment to delivering high-quality infrastructure, we are seeking a dedicated Civils Project Manager to join their team and contribute to the success of their clean water projects.

Position Overview: As a Civils Project Manager, you will play a pivotal role in managing multiple sites concurrently across the Thames Valley region. This freelance contract offers an exciting opportunity to lead and coordinate projects ranging from £100K to £1M, ensuring the successful delivery of clean water infrastructure as part of the AMP 8 initiative.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and manage up to 5 clean water project sites simultaneously, ensuring adherence to project schedules, budgets, and quality standards.
  • Coordinate with internal teams, subcontractors, and stakeholders to ensure smooth project execution from inception to completion.
  • Develop and implement project plans, including resource allocation, risk management, and procurement strategies.
  • Monitor project progress, identify potential issues, and implement corrective actions to mitigate risks and ensure project success.
  • Maintain regular communication with clients, providing updates on project milestones, challenges, and opportunities.
  • Foster a culture of safety, quality, and excellence on-site, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations and company policies.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
  • Black / White CSCS - SMSTS - First Aid
  • Proven experience as a Project Manager, preferably within the water works industry.
  • Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Knowledge of health and safety regulations and best practices.
  • Proficiency in project management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Valid driver's license and willingness to travel within the Thames Valley region.
