Job Title Project Implementation- Mechanical Reports into Capital Projects Site Manager Role Summary § Delivery of a portfolio of Capital Projects from initial concept through to completion and handover § Use technical expertise to define technical requirements for projects and liaise with suppliers and contractors to create engineering solutions § Co-ordinate and lead project implementation, installation and testing phases of key projects § Ensure solutions are safely implemented and compliant with legislation and site standards § Role will be based at Kitt Green but requires flexibility to support all KH UK sites

Key Responsibilities · Member of team delivering a portfolio of Capital Projects · Responsible for the day to day running of own work streams within capital projects · Create requirement specifications and scopes of works, evaluate technical options, and make recommendations to business · Liaise with suppliers, site contractors, site management, engineers, operatives, safety professionals, and stakeholders to ensure project deliverables are met safely, on time, and within budget, and installations are fit for purpose · Fully control engineering works associated with projects using Site permit system, Control-of contractor system, regular audits, and other appropriate methods · Ensure that legal requirements/regulations such as CDM Regs 2015 are adhered to · Comply with company and departmental procedures and site standards · Support commissioning, production trials, and training activities associated with Capital projects · Ensure the effective handover of projects by producing the necessary documentation and co-ordination and closure of snagging items · Ongoing site attendance during the construction phase of projects is necessary with some weekend and out of hours working required during the project · Member of the Capital Engineering weekend duty engineer rota, thereby requiring occasional site attendance at weekends
Expected Experience and Required Skills · Time served apprentice · Minimum 3 years’ experience in an Engineering role within an FMCG manufacturing environment (EC&I) · Overall knowledge and understanding of their engineering discipline including installation and maintenance methodologies · Experience of planning and implementing improvement initiatives and supporting delivery of projects · Ability to resolve problems and implement solutions · Attention to detail and insistence on the highest standards of installation and workmanship · Ability to work under pressure to meet set deadlines · The ability to plan, co-ordinate and prioritise workloads · Good organisational and interpersonal skills · Competent oral and written communicator · Computer literate · Familiarity with relevant regulations and standards such as HASAW, CDM2015, Control of Asbestos regulations 2012, EHEDG standards
