Job Description

Working as part of a manufacturing and production team that supports our systems and other defence equipment, your responsibilities will include:
This job requires a highly confident, reliable and self-motivated individual to support the Manufacturing Team with wiring duties. Responsibilities will include:
- PCB modification/repair work
- Wiring to drawings/instructions
- Building & testing assemblies
- Manufacturing bespoke cable assemblies including fibre optics
- Supporting production engineering with protype build
- Repair, refurbishment and upgrade work
A trustworthy and dependable individual, you will have experience of:
- Working with Ultra staff to ensure successful completion of production and equipment builds.
- Experience or a level 3 in Industrial or Mechanical Engineering, or other Engineering discipline with manufacturing experience.
- Interpreting engineering drawings, schematics, and other documentation.
- Willing to learn quickly, be agile, and innovate to solve complex problems.
- The successful person must be able to gain the appropriate UK government security clearance and satisfy all requirements to be able to work on UK government products.
A dedicated and hard-working individual, who is willing to go the extra mile to support the production team, you will have:
- A positive and enthusiastic attitude with the ability to act as an ambassador for the apprenticeship scheme, supporting the growth of the SEADs programme
- Good communication skills (verbal and written). In particular, the ability to write concise reports of work undertaken.
- The ability to work under pressure and manage the expectations of challenging stakeholders.
- Eligible for security clearance to a minimum of Security Check (SC) level with no caveats.
