About our Team:

We’re seeking an innovative and driven Product Owner to join our Platform team. This team is responsible for developing and managing our suite of industry-leading products, which are at the core of our business and essential to our success. Central to advancing our machine-readable products, your role will be to ensure that our products not only meet but exceed customer expectations.


About the Role:


You will be part of the Product Owner team within Cirium, but on a day-to-day basis, you will work closely with an Agile development team. Your key responsibilities will include owning and prioritizing the product backlog, gathering and managing requirements from various stakeholders, and ensuring that dependencies are properly handled.


You will build strong relationships across Cirium and serve as the central point of contact between the development team, various departments, and external stakeholders. Your goal will be to deliver dynamic, flexible, and innovative products that anticipate and respond to the fast-paced and evolving needs of the aviation analytics industry. With development teams located across different geographic regions, your outstanding written and verbal communication skills will be crucial. You will translate complex stakeholder requirements into user stories and epics, ensuring clear and effective collaboration within the team and with downstream stakeholders.




Responsibilities:

  • Maintaining agile team’s primary objective / specific business goal of each release.
  • Collaborating with Product Management, UX Design, Tech, Security, and QA teams on sprint planning
  • Running standard agile ceremonies, weekly backlog review, sprint reviews / platform features daily stand ups, sign off on test case reviews, and sprint retrospective
  • Releasing capacity planning – Understand engineering resources available for the next sprint
  • Collaborating with product managers on ticket readiness prior to backlog reviews.
  • Ensuring a clear Definition of Done for every ticket
  • Balancing continuous improvement with remediation of technical debt


Requirements:

  • Have Proficiency in various technologies to assist day-to-day tasks with a strong emphasis on JIRA knowledge preferred.
  • Understand agile software development methodologies like Agile Scrum, Kanban Have Formal training in Product Management and/or Product Ownership
  • Have excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Experience or knowledge within Aviation is desirable but not essential
