The Role:

Product Managers are responsible for the development of the product strategy, defining new product requirements, and driving new product development to grow our product suite in line with business goals. They manage the full product life cycle and collaborate across the business to continually improve and ensure the smooth delivery of our product offering.

The ideal candidate is an enthusiastic and motivated individual who will act as a subject matter expert and point of reference for the product whilst keeping up to date on regulatory and market developments to ensure product compliance, ongoing enhancement, and development

What will you do?

  • Owning, developing, publishing, and executing the product vision, strategy, and roadmap for your partnerships.
  • Charting product roadmaps into executable product backlog, acceptance criteria and test cases.
  • Translating requirements and business objectives into prioritized, action-oriented deliverables, with measurable success criteria.
  • Analysing and recommending incremental monetization of product features and services.
  • Looking for cross-product learnings and opportunities for collaboration, integrate product into new business and use cases.
  • Gathering market intelligence and guide development for evolving our products.
  • Preparing accurate and detailed requirements and business process documentation.
  • Researching the needs of internal and external customers to prioritize initiatives and communicate to executives and stakeholders.
  • Managing and prioritising business requirements into product backlogs.
  • Liaising with partners and underwriters for the creation and delivery of; final policy wordings, customer documentation and web content to ensure all elements of product design and delivery meet the needs of the identified target market.
  • Working with the Design Team to assist with the generation of product marketing materials.
  • Working with Development and business leads, support the development of delivery and adoption plans for new digital capabilities.
  • Maintaining a strong awareness and understanding of conduct risk, specifically in regard to the fair value of our products and customer outcomes.
  • Acting as a key contact in all day-to-day product and product management. You'll have a deep understanding of our product suite and variances to key competitor products, as well as awareness of relevant competitive market developments.
  • Proactively work as part of the implementation team to launch new business and product updates, including third party onboarding requirements with distribution partners such as price comparison websites.
  • Working with operational leads establish and execute the appropriate test strategies, change management processes, and communication plans.
  • Defining the validation strategy to ensure that the product is delivered to expected quality criteria.
  • Maintaining third party distributor sales requirements
  • Working within agreed parameters, protocols, and naming conventions
  • Working with Development teams to discuss continuous process improvement.

Essentials:

  • Extensive product management or development experience.
  • High degree of competency with project management, including issues and risk identification and management, tracking.
  • Highly motivated with effective time management skills and high attention to detail.
  • Excellent communications skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to communicate at all levels and prepared to communicate with people to ensure product success.
  • Ability to demonstrate an organised approach to planning and prioritising own workload
  • Strong team player who can work with a diverse team.

Bonus skills you may pack in your suitcase:

  • Experience within the insurance industry (if you’ve worked in travel, even better!) or similar sector experience, although an eagerness to improve your knowledge of our industry will bode well.
  • Experience using Adobe software, particularly InDesign.
