Role: Product Manager - Signup Experience (Fixed Term Contract) 

Location: Hybrid, Shepherds Bush, London 

As the Product Manager for the Signup Experience, you will lead a multidisciplinary team changing the way hundreds of thousands of households choose to eat dinner. 

You will define the product strategy for the first interactions customers have with Gousto. Partnering with a dedicated product designer and product analyst, you will use the latest product research techniques to validate customer needs and behaviours to generate test hypotheses to optimise the storytelling principles that help customers understand how Gousto helps them eat healthy, convenient and inspiring meals each day.

Using a combination of moderated vs. unmoderated research techniques, alongside advances in A/B experimentation, GenAI and data science, you will find the optimal plan selection and payment experience, ensuring the overall sign up experience is easy, exciting and responds to the needs of individual customers. 

You will also partner with the Head of Acquisition, and Finance, to discover the optimal pricing and promotion strategy to fuel profitable, long-term growth. 

Finally, you will partner with the Head of Customer Care, using advancements in GenAI in particular to reduce contact cost and increase customer satisfaction to put things right for customers. 

Your Impact

Reporting to the Head of Product, you will:

  • Build and develop a digital product strategy within Customer Acquisition and Care domains
  • Advocate customer needs by generating and using qualitative and quantitative insights
  • Rigorously prioritise using customer and business-lenses
  • Raise the bar on insight-driven experimentation, and set the standards for other teams
  • Use lean practices to drive product development with a team of world-class engineers, data scientists, solutions architects and analysts
  • Drive change through a cross-functional team delivering value to the customer and keeping internal stakeholders aligned on direction
  • Work closely with the Head of Acquisition, proposition, product analysts and senior tribe leadership
  • Direct the ideation, development and launch of new capabilities
  • Define and analyse metrics that inform the success of your domain

About you

  • You understand how to bring value to customers, using your sharp commercial mind to drive performance, and focusing on the top and bottom line.
  • You love working collaboratively. You excel at communication, bringing together people with diverse experiences, in order to get things done. You build deep relationships based on trust and respect.

  • You’re intensely analytical - you rely on quantitative data to make decisions, and you are familiar with A/B testing and experimentation. You use data to discover opportunities, identify issues and drive performance.

Your skills

  • Strong and extensive product management experience
  • Experience of building data products to drive optimisation
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills
  • Excellent organisational and analytical skills
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
  • Agile product management experience
  • Have a customer-centric approach to problems whilst maintaining a sharp focus on commercial metrics

Desirable experience

  • Experience in Conversion Rate Optimisation, in particular checkout and subscription based journeys.   
  • With Payment technologies including experience of launching new payment methods and improving payment acceptance rates.
