JOB : Product Design Engineer

LOCATION : Northampton

TERM : Permanent

SALARY : GBP 30,000 to GBP 40,000 per annum (plus benefits)

Premier Engineering is working with an established engineering and manufacturing company currently looking to bring on a Product Design Engineer to join their growing team.

The Product Design Engineer will ideally have the following attributes:

: A degree or qualification in Product Design, Mechanical Engineering or a related field (BSc, BEng, MEng, HND, HNC etc.)

: Previous experience in a similar Product Design or Mechanical Design role

: Proficiency with 3D CAD software such as SolidWorks or Inventor

: Knowledge of materials, manufacturing processes and production techniques

: A creative and practical approach to product development

: Good understanding of prototyping and testing

: Strong communication and team collaboration skills

: Ability to manage multiple projects and work to tight deadlines

The Product Design Engineer Role Will Involve

: Designing and developing new products from concept through to manufacture

: Producing detailed 3D CAD models and drawings

: Creating BOMs and technical documentation

: Collaborating with cross:functional teams including R and D, production, and quality

: Working closely with clients or internal stakeholders to understand requirements

: Supporting prototyping, testing, and design validation activities

: Ensuring designs comply with applicable standards and regulations

: Continuously improving existing products based on feedback and performance
