As the wovens buyer you will drive the growth of private label assortment across all woven categories. Utilising your expert product knowledge, eye for trends to deliver a profitable and commercial range, that exceeding the customer's needs and maximise opportunity. The role includes sourcing product, negotiating cost prices to meet the financial targets. As well as meeting the expected quality standards. You will have the ability to manage multiple product categories varying lead time
Your Responsibilities

Your Responsibilities
- Accountable with Merchandising for achieving the commercial targets by defining both the product assortment and sourcing strategy. Working in close collaboration with Merchandising and Design to build a customer focused, commercial and inspirational range
- Plan the assortment according to the future trends and current performance. Accounting for range construction, pricing architecture and seasonal variations.
- Define the pricing architecture and negotiate cost prices to ensure the target purchase rate is achieved
- Own the sourcing strategy and management the supplier relationship. To deliver a commercial successful range.
- Accountable for managing the buying lifecycle and critical path from assortment planning through to delivery and selling in store.
- Analysing performance and monitoring competition (both internal and external) to identify both risk and opportunities for the current and future collections. Making adaptations to the range as required to mitigate the risks while maximising the opportunity.
- Travel across Europe and Asia to visit suppliers, attend trade fairs and monitor competition. To support product development and supplier management.
- A bachelor’s degree in business, economics, fashion management or equivalent work experience in a comparable role.
- Extensive experience and knowledge of apparel private label in a retail environment. With a proven track record of buying your own area across multiple seasons.
- Previous experience buying wovens is essential, denim is desirable. With a high degree of product knowledge.
- Excellent negotiation skills.
- High degree of organization with particular attention to detail and accuracy.
- The ability to influence and communicate effectively at all levels.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines. Highly flexible with the ability to manage several activities simultaneously.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Applications and experience of working with product development and ERP systems.
- Fluent in spoken and written business English.
