An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Principal Clinical Technologist within Hywel Dda University Health Board. The successful candidate would carry the full responsibility for leadership for the Clinical Engineering department at Withybush General Hospital site in Haverfordwest.
The successful candidate would be responsible for the day to day activities of the Clinical Engineering function for their site. Please view the job description for more details. The role would also involve ownership of specific projects that relate to medical devices. These may develop over time based on the successful applicant's skills and experiences and the needs of the department.
Main duties of the job
Reporting to the Head of Clinical Engineering, the successful candidate would be responsible for the management and oversight for the lifecycle of the medical device under the portfolio of the respective site (circa 30,000 devices across the Health Board).
You will lead the team of Technologists, Apprentices, Administration staff and the Equipment Librarian resident at these sites and surrounding areas. Working with the wider Clinical Engineering team across the 4 Acute sites within the Health Board, you would be responsible to ensure the compliance and performance of the medical devices are maximised, to ensure we can provide the best quality of service we can for our patients.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; English and/or Welsh speakers are equally welcome to apply
