Help protect children and young people at risk from crime and violence.

As our Prevention and Diversion Manager you will design and manage the implementation of the key diversion and prevention strategies and initiatives.

The Violence Reduction Network (VRN) is a wide alliance of groups, organisation and communities focused on preventing and reducing violence and harm, working collaboratively we are an ambitious team providing expertise to the wider partnerships.

You’ll be working closely with children, young people, and communities, delivering prevention projects, interventions, and services. Influencing and leading on shared objectives and goals.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Providing strategic and operational direction to develop and deliver the VRN’s work
  • Collaborating with partners from all relevant sectors (e.g. youth work, education, police, and community)
  • Support the development of resources to equip and empower a range of partners to engage and divert children and young people at risk

The must haves

  • Experience of working strategically in a relevant sector (e.g. youth work, sports education, community)
  • Experience of designing, delivering, and evaluating initiatives and services
  • Ability to communicate effectively, empowering and influencing the development of responses to issues such as violence.
