Please note: at this stage, the role is open only to colleagues currently employed by the Kent and Medway Integrated Care Board (ICB) and Southeast Integrated Care Boards; and current at-risk employees within Kent and Medway NHS Trusts.

The Planning Programme Manager is responsible for leading and managing complex planning programmes that support the organisation’s statutory planning responsibilities and delivery of national, system and local priorities.

The post holder will play a key role in translating national planning guidance, the NHS England Operating Framework and system objectives into robust, deliverable operational and strategic plans.

  • Responsible for delivering on components of the operational planning round as part of a MDT.
  • Responsible for establishing the detailed timeline and work programme that will deliver the planning cycle and assurance of progress and outcomes
  • Supports internal and system for a for Planning and review discussions, co-ordinates executive and Board sign off etc
  • Provide expert programme management, including governance, risk management, benefits realisation, financial oversight and reporting
  • Owns specific ICB or joint commissioning policies
  • Works across the wider team to share and manage workload across the team flexibly
  • Participate in stakeholder engagement across the organisation and the wider system
