At DHL Supply Chain, we're looking for a driven and analytical Planning & MI Manager to play a critical role at the heart of our warehouse operation. This position combines hands-on operational planning with data-led insight, ensuring effective labour management, accurate forecasting, and robust performance reporting to support day-to-day delivery.

You'll be responsible for aligning headcount and resources to volume demands, producing clear and actionable MI for the leadership team, and providing daily guidance on throughput and labour planning. Working closely with both operational and senior stakeholders, you'll use data, systems and planning expertise to optimise performance, drive efficiency, and support informed decision-making in a fast-paced, increasingly automated environment.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

  • Own the day-to-day operational planning, ensuring the right labour is in place to meet volume demands and service expectations.
  • Develop and manage labour models, headcount plans and throughput forecasts, aligning resource to fluctuating volumes and operational priorities.
  • Analyse warehouse performance data (throughput, productivity, labour utilisation) to identify trends, risks and opportunities.
  • Produce and deliver timely, accurate MI reporting for the site leadership team, translating data into clear, actionable insight.
  • Provide daily volume and labour guidance, supporting operational decision-making and performance delivery.
  • Work closely with operational teams to optimise scheduling, resource allocation and workforce planning.
  • Maintain and enhance planning tools and models, leveraging WMS data and driving improved visibility and control.
  • Lead and support continuous improvement initiatives, using data to improve efficiency, cost and service.

THIS ROLE WOULD SUIT PEOPLE WHO

  • Proven experience within a Planning Manager / Planning role, ideally in a logistics, warehouse or distribution environment.
  • Confident managing labour planning, headcount and operational forecasting in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong capability in data analysis and MI reporting, with the ability to interpret and act on operational data.
  • Experience working with WMS systems (Manhattan preferred), with a good understanding of warehouse data and processes.
  • Strong administration and organisational skills, with high attention to detail.
  • Comfortable working on-site with operational teams, translating data into practical actions.
  • Excellent communication skills, able to present insight clearly to senior stakeholders.
  • Continuous improvement mindset, with exposure to automation or automated environments seen as highly advantageous.
