Mott MacDonald Bentley are recruiting for a Planning Manager to join our Infrastructure Water team in Cambridge.
We’re working on a major new project to build a modern waste water treatment plant at Honey Hill, just north of the A14 between Horningsea and Fen Ditton. This new plant will replace the current one in the northeast of Cambridge.

We’re working on a major new project to build a modern waste water treatment plant at Honey Hill, just north of the A14 between Horningsea and Fen Ditton. This new plant will replace the current one in the northeast of Cambridge.
What will you be doing as our new Planning Manager?
- Establish the project level collaborative planning approach to drive engagement of the whole project team with the programme.
- Develop the planning approach for a project taking into account both our customers and Skanska’s planning requirements
- Interrogate the programme and identify areas for improvements, risk reduction and potential issues across the whole project
- Carry out regular peer reviews of the programme challenging the programme with both the planners and wider project team.
- Provide the link between planning and our customers.
- Specific experience of water treatment projects
- Significant construction planning experience with a Tier 1 infrastructure contractor
- Proven experience in planning major projects, ideally within the water or civil engineering sector.
- Strong expertise in Primavera P6 and collaborative planning processes.
- Leadership experience in managing and developing planning teams.
- Excellent communication skills to engage both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Passion for innovation, problem-solving, and strategic decision-making.
