This role offers an outstanding view of the whole of Chief Finance Officer (CFO) Business Group and how it operates internally, as well as the role it plays in supporting wider organisation objectives.

We are looking for someone who can be the spine of our crucial team, you need to have an eye for detail when you take minutes from meeting, take away action points from calls and send out agenda’s. As such you need to be confident and engaged when talking to partners across all levels of the business.

We are a small, and vitally important, team of 7 who deliver an efficient and effective performance management service to senior leaders. We provide this at the highest levels and help support decision making for c.1800 people.

This is a hybrid-working role, and you will be required to work from our Worthing office at least 60% of your working week (in line with expectations within CFO).

The duties/responsibilities listed describe the post as it is at present and is not intended to be exhaustive. The job holder is expected to accept reasonable alterations and additional tasks of a similar level that may be necessary. Significant adjustments may require re-examination under the Job Evaluation Scheme and shall be discussed in the first instance with the job holder.

We will be there to support you with any training that you need to successfully do this role, and we will guide you to make sure that there is a clear progression route if you want it, to start a career within HMRC.

Person specification

As our Performance Team Administrator, we would look for you to provide full administrative support and co-ordination for all Performance Hubs, including commissioning for hub updates, managing distribution lists, acting as secretariat, organising Performance Hub meetings, providing note-taking services and issuing action points.

You will get to liaise and engage with relevant partners and customers across the organisation, building strong relationship built on trust.

Part of your role will also be supporting the work of the team, this can be through diary management, maintenance of our SharePoint library, or any variety of admin talks that ensure we meet our service level agreements. You will also be organising and maintaining accurate records of performance data ensuring databases, filing and information logs are up to date an in line with retention policies.

Essential Criteria

  • Experience of using Microsoft Office 365 tools is a requirement for this role, so we would like you to have an intermediate level of capability
  • Excellent communication skills.
