Payroll Administrator - Newcastle


Salary: Basic £28,000

Working
Hours: Monday - Friday - 9am - 5.30pm

Our client is seeking a Payroll Administrator to join their already successful motor trade team working within a busy main dealer. You need to be a team player, able to work to deadlines and have the ability to use your own initiative.

Payroll Administrator Responsibilities:

  • Payroll Processing
  • Accurate processing of an end to end monthly payroll of circa 1,200 colleagues
  • Review, manage and resolve payroll queries including the calculation and raising of manual payments where required and ensuring they are all accurately recorded
  • Good understanding of statutory payments including Maternity, Paternity & Shared Parental leave
  • Experience of full end to end payroll preferred

The Ideal Payroll Administrator:

  • Previous experience working as part of a payroll team is essential
  • Must have exceptional communication skills
  • Must be competent in performing manual payroll calculations
  • Ability to meet strict deadlines while maintaining composure
  • Experience of operating a modern payroll software package
  • Candidate must be experienced in Excel, knowledge of VLOOKUP’s is also required
  • CIPP qualified is desirable but not essential

You must be able to produce high quality work in a busy motor trade environment and be motivated through set targets, showing flexibility according to the needs of your team.
