Responsibilities

• General Maintenance: Perform a wide range of maintenance tasks, including but not limited to plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and painting, to maintain the functionality and appearance of residential properties.
• Repairs: Diagnose and repair issues within residential properties promptly and efficiently.
• Routine Inspections: Conduct regular inspections to identify maintenance and repair needs, ensuring properties are safe and well-maintained.
• Emergency Response: Be on call for emergency maintenance issues outside regular working hours as needed.
• Documentation: Maintain accurate records of work performed, materials used, and time spent on each job.
• Customer Service: Interact professionally with residents and property management to address maintenance concerns and ensure a positive living experience.
• Team Collaboration: Work closely with the maintenance team to prioritize and complete tasks efficiently.
• Health and Safety: Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations to ensure a safe working environment.
  
  

Requirements

• Proven Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience as a painter and decorator or in a similar role within residential maintenance.
• Skills: Proficient in various maintenance tasks, including plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and painting.
• Reliability: Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong work ethic and attention to detail.
• Communication: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally with residents and team members.
• Flexibility: Willingness to work outside regular business hours for emergency maintenance as required.
• Valid Driver's License: A valid driver's license and reliable transportation are required. Company van is not provided.
• Mileage Reimbursement: Willingness to travel to different residential sites. Mileage will be reimbursed at a rate of 45p per business mile.
