JOB TITLE: OPERATIONS SUPERVISOR
This post is based offshore on the Kittiwake on a 3/4/3/5 rota
Key Responsibilities
- Responsible for management of the Multi-disciplined Operations Teams, ensuring that the process plant and systems are optimised to meet environmental and production targets. Liaison with client for all Operations and Production matters to ensure the safe and efficient delivery of Kittiwake KPI targets.
- This is a Senior Supervisory position and as such will be held accountable and responsible for the performance of their team.
- Responsible for ensuring all Operations equipment for life support and safety systems are maintained and available.
- Ensure optimisation and efficiency of systems to meet production targets in conjunction with the Maintenance Supervisor with regard to maintenance and inspection requirements.
- Liaise with Maintenance Supervisor to ensure all PM’s are aligned such that only one outage will be required encompassing all planned activities for the period.
- Liaise with Client and onshore support teams relating to all Operational optimisation of both topside & subsea equipment.
- Auditing and assurance of data ensuring it is reported in a timely manner and with a high degree of accuracy in support of production optimization and client quality expectations.
- Ensure all documentation, daily logs and trip handovers are to a high standard and accurate.
- Responsible for delivery of 28-Day / 7-day planning & maintenance activities within the Operations Areas. Liaise with Maintenance Supervisor to optimise resource allocations.
- Assure quality of Maintenance Management System work order close-outs.
- Liaison with ICP as required for verification testing ensuring resource is allocated and available at the agreed time.
- S/D & Projects Focal point for Operations Area.
- Act as Permit System Area Owner, performing permit review and validation for areas as designated on site.
- Attend onshore meetings as required, pursue issues/queries with teams and client as required (onshore or offshore).
- In conjunction with Operations personnel review any proposed modifications / work packs prior to implementation and feedback as appropriate.
- Responsible for delivery of appraisals for Operations Teams, setting objectives / mid-year and end of year reviews of technicians and STL’s within the Operations department.
- Lead role in mentoring Operations personnel, Competence Management System assessor.
- Completion of Competence Management System for role in timely manner.
- Stand-in for the position of OIM as required.
- Safety Management:
- Understand and ensure compliance by teams regarding the installation safety case, statutory requirements, and safe systems of work.
- Ensure contractors and vendors comply with Petrofac / Kittiwake’s safe systems of work and current legislation
- Emergency Response:
- Perform Deputy OIM role and able to perform OIM role should they be incapacitated in the event of an emergency.
- Perform in an emergency role as defined by the Company Emergency Response Procedure Manual and Station Bill.

- The postholder is expected to adhere to all Legislative requirements the Petrofac 9 Lifesaving Rules and the Petrofac Values.
- Ensure optimal delivery of budgetary commitments within Operations area.
- Identify and act upon any areas of efficiency in a timely manner with a view of delivering cost savings without risk to safety or production.
- Ability to lead and work in a team, resolving day-to-day operational issues as they occur.
- Ability to manage system issues and liaise with external support teams to bring resolutions.
- Ability to manage multiple workscopes, prioritising and allocating resources as required for the best outcome for the asset.
- Ability to review plans for SIMOPS issues and resolve clashes before they manifest at site.
- Ability to carry out complex fault-finding review and assistance with plant optimisation, liaising with Client & vendors both remotely and locally to resolve issues.
- Recognised Apprenticeship or Training Scheme or Relevant Degree / Graduate Program.
- Few years of experience in Hydrocarbon Operations support activities, preferably with experience of multi-skilling.
- OND / ONC / City and Guilds / NVQ Level 3 or equivalent
- NVQ Level 3 Management preferable but not essential.
- ISSOW (Proscient Or similar system) training to level 2.
- Systems literate - experience of computerised management systems e.g., Maximo, Spreadsheets, etc.
- Good communication skills (written and verbal) with the ability to share information / knowledge with other personnel.
