As we continue to expand, we’re looking for a dynamic and experienced Operations Manager to lead our day-to-day operations and drive efficiency across all departments.
Role Overview
The Operations Manager will oversee the daily functions of the business, ensuring smooth execution of internal processes and consistent performance across departments. Acting as the key decision-maker in the absence of the Managing Director, this role is vital in maintaining momentum and ensuring business continuity. The Operations Manager will also directly manage Heads of Departments and Technical Account Managers to align with company goals and strategies.
Key Responsibilities
Operational Management
- Oversee daily business operations to ensure efficiency, quality, and profitability.
- Develop, implement, and refine business processes to boost performance and productivity.
- Step in as the primary leader when the Managing Director is unavailable.
- Ensure full compliance with internal policies, legal obligations, and industry standards.
Leadership & People Management
- Lead and support Heads of Departments and Technical Account Managers to improve business performance.
- Provide clear strategic direction and ensure alignment with company vision.
- Foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.
- Conduct regular performance evaluations and support team development initiatives.
Strategic Planning & Execution
- Collaborate with senior leadership to shape and execute business strategies.
- Identify opportunities for operational improvements and business growth.
- Support financial planning, budgeting, and resource allocation.
- Define and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure success.
Risk & Compliance Management
- Ensure operations comply with relevant regulations, company policies, and industry best practices.
- Lead risk assessment and mitigation efforts to safeguard business continuity.
Skills & Experience Required
- Proven experience in an Operations Management role, ideally within an SME or technical services environment.
- Strong leadership and people management skills with a track record of developing teams.
- Excellent organizational and strategic thinking capabilities.
- Solid financial understanding, including experience with budgeting and resource management.
- Confident decision-maker, comfortable taking ownership of business performance.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Proficient in operational tools and business software.
Preferred Qualifications
- Degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, or a related field.
- Experience managing technical or service-oriented teams.
- Familiarity with regulatory and compliance requirements across the EMEA region.
