Given the nature of Evelyn Partners’ business the main risks it faces are operational in nature and any successful candidate will be required to:

  • Assist in the development and embedding of the Group Risk Management Framework.
  • Assist in the day-to-day operation of the Group’s risk management processes.
  • Actively engage with the business with regard to risk related matters.
  • Be the primary analyst within the team for risk events and reporting.   
  • Develop a comprehensive understanding of the business.

Key Responsibilities

To assist in a wide-ranging aspect of development and business-as-usual activities across the risk management framework, including but not limited to:

  • Assist the business in the process of capturing, assessing, reporting and escalating of risk events, and maintenance of the Group’s risk event reporting system.
  • The production of the Group’s Key Risk Dashboard and other monthly reporting, highlighting key trends/ themes.
  • Review and challenge the businesses Risk and Control Self Assessments.
  • Assist in the completion of Deep Dives into specific areas of focus and interest. 
  • The completion of the Key Risk Assessment and Appetite statements.
  • The development and production of top-down key risk assessments and scenario analysis.
  • Preparing and delivering risk management training to the business.
  • Assist in policy refreshes, challenging the business as appropriate.


Key Skills and Experience

  • Experience in Operational Risk management, ideally gained within a financial services organization.
  • Ability to work well in a pressurized environment and prioritize work.
  • Demonstrable attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently on tasks.
  • Excel with knowledge of V-Lookups and Pivot Tables
  • PowerPoint presentation skills

Professional Qualifications and Education

  • Educated to degree level, or equivalent.
  • Relevant professional qualification(s) advantageous.
